“Nanay niya naman. Kilala ko rin. Verify pa ba?”
Mukhang simple.
Identify → Check Current Authorization → Confirm the Learner → Follow the School Release Procedure → Coordinate if Unclear → Record When Required
RA 11917 recognizes access control and denial as part of private security services.
Parent Siya—Hindi Ba Automatic Iyon?
Hindi magandang gawing automatic rule ang:
“Parent naman, kaya release agad.”
May situations na kailangang ma-check muna:
- ibang parent ang regular na sumusundo;
- grandparent ang authorized fetcher;
- may yaya, driver, sibling, o family representative;
- last-minute substitute pickup;
- may bagong instruction ang parent;
- may school-recorded restriction;
Do not decide based on who is louder, more familiar, or more convincing.
Coordinate with the authorized school administrator and follow the school’s documented process.
Ano ang Dapat I-verify?
2. Current Pickup Authorization
Kung gumagamit ang school ng:
- authorized pickup list;
- student information record;
- parent/guardian authorization;
- designated fetcher record;
- digital release system; o
- ibang approved mechanism,
current record ang gamitin.
Hindi sapat ang:
“Dati ako ang sumusundo.”
Ang tanong ay:
“Authorized ka ba sa current instruction?”
3. Tamang Learner
- magkaparehong surname;
- magkapatid;
- similar first names;
- parehong section or grade level; at
- sabay-sabay na fetcher.
Huwag mag-assume dahil lang pamilyar ang pangalan.
Halimbawa:
Wala sa authorized list ang tita.
Tumawag daw ang nanay.
May bagong driver.
Nasiraan ang regular fetcher.
Biglang kuya ang kukuha.
Sino ang puwedeng mag-confirm?
Class adviser?
Registrar?
School administrator?
Designated release personnel?
Useful information iyon.
Pero hindi dapat iyon lang ang verification.
Ang learner ay maaaring nakakakilala ng:
- kamag-anak;
- family friend;
- neighbor;
- former household employee;
- driver;
- coach; o
- ibang adult.
Recognition is not automatically the same as current pickup authorization.
coordinate—do not invent an exception.
Paano Kung Nagmamadali o Nagagalit ang Susundo?
Ito ang actual-duty pressure.
“Araw-araw naman ako rito!”
“Anak ko ’yan!”
“Kilala mo naman ako!”
Professional response does not need confrontation.
Puwedeng simple:
The goal is not to embarrass the parent.
The goal is to make the process consistent.
Entry Permission at Student Release: Magkaiba
Important distinction.
For private basic education schools, DepEd’s campus-security rule specifically includes parents and guardians among visitors during school hours: entry requires a valid reason and signing the security logbook.
DepEd Order No. 11, s. 2011 — Campus Security provision
Sa DepEd rules for off-campus activities, returning learners are directed to a designated waiting area where they are picked up by their fetcher, habang learners na wala pa ang fetcher ay supervised habang naghihintay. Specific iyon sa off-campus activities—not a universal daily-dismissal rule—but malinaw ang underlying safety idea:
Learner handoff should be controlled, not improvised.
Kung Hindi Ma-verify ang Susundo
Huwag gawing:
Better sequence:
Keep the learner within the school’s designated safe/release area → Notify authorized school personnel → Verify using the approved process → Wait for clear instruction → Document unusual handling when required.
- date at time;
- learner concerned;
- identity ng person requesting pickup;
- claimed relationship;
- reason for exception;
- verification method;
- authorized person contacted;
- instruction received;
- person who approved the release;
- time of release or non-release; at
- unusual circumstances.
Avoid vague entries:
“Pinayagan dahil kilala.”
Better:
“Substitute fetcher verified through authorized school contact; release approved under school procedure.”
Or:
“Pickup authorization could not be verified; learner retained in designated waiting area and school administrator notified.”
Tandaan
Ang safest question ay hindi:
“Kilala ba natin siya?”
Kundi:
Familiarity helps identify.
Authorization decides the next step.
School procedure controls the release.

- sino ang verifier;
- paano ang substitute fetcher;
- sino ang puwedeng mag-approve ng exception;
- ano ang fallback kapag hindi ma-contact ang parent;
- kailan kailangan ng escalation; o
- ano ang kailangang i-record,
mas malaking post-procedure issue na iyon.

Educational and Operational Note
This article is a general educational security reference.
Actual student-release handling depends on the learner’s age, school type, current school policy, authorized pickup records, post orders, agency/client instructions, specific family circumstances, and instructions of authorized school personnel.
Security personnel should verify and coordinate, not personally decide family or custody disputes.
Kilala man—verify pa rin ang current authorization.
