Pagkatapos ng Armed Incident: Ano ang Dapat I-preserve Bago Dumating ang Investigators?

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Protect life → Protect the scene → Preserve existing records → Avoid speculation → Coordinate → Turn over to proper authorities.

Ito rin ang direction ng TSTS source control para sa investigation-related content: public guard guidance should stay within safety, scene protection, objective documentation, coordination, and proper-authority turnover—not interrogation, forensic processing, covert surveillance, or technical evidence handling.

Mabilis na Sagot

Habang hinihintay ang proper investigators, school security should focus on:

SECURE THE AREA → LIMIT UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY → PRESERVE CCTV/RECORDS → NOTE IMPORTANT TIMES → IDENTIFY POSSIBLE WITNESSES → PREPARE A FACTUAL HANDOFF

Pero tandaan:

Life safety always comes first.

PNP crime-scene procedures likewise place life-saving, scene safety, securing the area, preventing unauthorized entry, and eventual turnover to the Investigator-on-Case among the initial priorities. Ang PNP SOP na ito ay para sa police first responders—not ordinary private guards—but useful itong boundary reference kung bakit ang guard should protect and preserve rather than personally process the scene.

1. Huwag Munang “Ayusin” ang Scene

Common instinct pagkatapos ng incident:

  • pulutin ang nahulog;
  • ibalik ang upuan;
  • isara ang drawer;
  • alisin ang basag na gamit;
  • linisin ang dugo o debris;

Leave them alone and restrict unnecessary entry.

  • teachers;
  • parents;
  • administrators;
  • curious staff;
  • students;
  • maintenance personnel; o
  • ibang security personnel.

RA 11917 expressly recognizes access control/denial and protection of persons and secured areas as part of private security services.

Notify the school’s authorized CCTV custodian, administrator, IT personnel, or designated person na kailangang ma-preserve ang potentially relevant footage ayon sa school procedure.

Useful details:

  • approximate incident time;
  • relevant camera/location;
  • reasonable time window; at
  • person notified.

Pero preservation request is different from personally extracting, editing, forwarding, or posting the footage.

The National Privacy Commission’s current CCTV rules require organizations to have documented retention and access procedures, appropriate safeguards, and controlled disclosure. CCTV footage may be disclosed for law-enforcement and criminal-investigation purposes subject to lawful procedures and authorized requests.

Kaya huwag:

4. Preserve Existing Logs—Huwag “Ayusin” Pagkatapos

Possible relevant records include, depende sa site:

  • visitor log;
  • access-control log;
  • gate log;
  • security logbook;
  • radio/communication record;
  • incident log;
  • duty roster;
  • entry/exit record; at
  • electronic access records.

Ang importanteng principle:

Preserve what actually existed.

Documentation integrity is exactly one of the high-value investigation and record-protection areas identified in the TSTS professional-source framework.

5. Gumawa ng Timeline—Pero Facts Lang

Hindi kailangang gumawa ng detective reconstruction.

What helps is a simple factual sequence.

Halimbawa:

10:14 AM — Narinig ang unang report sa radio.
10:16 AM — Main gate notified OIC.
10:19 AM — PNP arrival observed at Gate 1.

Ihiwalay ang:

PERSONALLY OBSERVED
REPORTED BY SOMEONE ELSE
CONFIRMED BY AUTHORIZED SOURCE

Huwag gawing fact ang:

“May dalawang gunman daw.”

Mas accurate:

“At 10:18 AM, Guard X reported over radio that two persons were allegedly seen in Building B. Security post did not independently confirm the report.”

That distinction protects the quality of the record.

6. Possible Witnesses: Identify—Huwag I-interrogate

  • paulit-ulit tanungin;
  • i-pressure;
  • pag-compare-in ang kuwento niya sa iba;
  • pagawan ng conclusion;

PNP crime-scene guidance places formal investigation under designated police investigators and emphasizes organized identification and documentation of witnesses.

Guard-level objective:

Know who may have relevant information and make that information available to the proper investigator.

7. Maghanda ng Malinis na Turnover

Kapag dumating ang authorized investigator or proper responding authority, mas useful ang short factual briefing kaysa mahabang theory.

Be ready to state:

  • what was reported;
  • what you personally observed;
  • exact or approximate key times;
  • what area was protected;
  • who entered, kung recorded;
  • what was changed for life-safety reasons;
  • what records/CCTV were preserved or requested for preservation;
  • who was notified; at
  • what remains unverified.

Under PNP crime-scene procedure, the Investigator-on-Case assumes responsibility over the crime scene after arrival and briefing from the police first responder. Para sa private school security, practical implication nito: support the proper investigators—do not compete with them for investigative control.

Huwag Gawin

After a serious armed incident, ordinary security personnel should not independently:

  • collect shell casings or weapons;
  • fingerprint objects;
  • package physical evidence;
  • conduct forensic photography as an investigator;
  • interrogate witnesses;
  • search personal devices;
  • perform covert surveillance;
  • reconstruct the attack;
  • publish CCTV or scene photos;
  • identify or accuse a suspect publicly; o
  • teach themselves technical chain-of-custody procedures during the incident.

The CSP source contains investigation material, but the governing TSTS rule specifically restricts public conversion to safety, preservation awareness, objective observation, and proper turnover.

Tandaan

footage gets overwritten.
logs get altered.
objects get moved.
people enter the area.
memories start mixing with rumors.

Kaya ang protection role ng security ay:

Don’t investigate everything. Preserve what already exists.

Protect the scene.
Protect the records.
Protect the timeline.
Protect the handoff.

DepEd’s current 2026 safe-learning-environment framework also emphasizes coherent security measures and consistent incident-reporting procedures, but it is not itself a technical crime-scene manual. Criminal investigation and scene processing remain matters for the proper authorities.

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Practical sequence:

Observe → Record Facts → Notify → Maintain Access Control → Escalate When Needed → Document the Result

  • hindi mo kilala ang tao;
  • iba ang suot;
  • mukhang kinakabahan;
  • may tattoo;
  • mahirap ang itsura;
  • may kakaibang accent;

kaysa:

“Mukhang masamang tao at kahina-hinala.”

  • paulit-ulit na lumalapit sa gate nang walang malinaw na school-related purpose;
  • ilang beses nang nagtangkang makapasok pero hindi ma-verify ang authorization;
  • nagtatanong tungkol sa isang learner o personnel pero walang ma-confirm na legitimate reason;
  • paulit-ulit na lumalapit sa student waiting or pickup area at may concern nang ini-report ang learner, parent, o staff;
  • sinusubukang lampasan ang normal visitor-control process;

  • manatili sa assigned post;
  • panatilihin ang normal access control;
  • i-record ang objective facts;
  • ipaalam sa OIC, supervisor, o designated school authority ayon sa procedure.

2. Heightened Escalation

  • repeated unauthorized entry attempt;
  • pagtatangkang dumaan sa ibang entrance pagkatapos ma-deny;
  • credible report mula sa learner, parent, o staff tungkol sa threatening behavior;
  • explicit attempt na hanapin o lapitan ang isang specific learner nang hindi ma-verify ang authority;

3. Immediate Threat / Emergency

Kung may:

  • visible weapon;
  • explicit threat of violence;
  • forced entry;
  • actual assault;
  • credible report ng immediate weapon threat; o
  • ibang situation na nagpapakita ng imminent danger,

hindi na ito ordinary observation issue.

Protect immediate safety, alert the school emergency chain, at contact the appropriate police/emergency authority ayon sa approved procedure.

Huwag gawing solo investigation ang situation.

Kung Nasa Labas Siya ng School, Ano ang Limit ng Guard?

Mahalagang tandaan ang Area of Responsibility at actual assignment.

  • habulin siya;
  • pilitin siyang mag-identify;
  • kunin ang gamit niya;
  • i-search siya;
  • i-detain siya;
  • interrogate siya; o
  • sundan siya para gumawa ng sariling surveillance.

Mas ligtas na general approach:

Protect the school side of the boundary.

Maintain gate control.

Observe what can lawfully and normally be observed from your post.

Report the concern.

Coordinate.

Allow the proper authority to determine the next response when the issue goes beyond the guard’s role.

RA 11917 recognizes the role of private security in access control and protection, pero hindi nito binibigyan ang ordinary security guard ng automatic police powers.

Useful details may include:

  • date and exact time;
  • exact location;
  • sino ang unang nakapansin o nag-report;
  • ano mismo ang personally observed;
  • ano ang reported information mula sa learner, parent, staff, o ibang source;
  • ilang beses na-observe ang relevant behavior, kung confirmed;
  • anumang access attempt;
  • exact threatening words, kung mayroon at accurately remembered;
  • sino ang notified;
  • time at paraan ng notification;
  • instruction na natanggap;
  • action na ginawa; at
  • immediate result o pending follow-up.

“mukhang kriminal,”
“mukhang adik,”
“siguradong may masamang balak.”

Mas maayos:

“Adult male wearing a gray jacket repeatedly approached the main gate at approximately 3:10 PM, 3:25 PM, and 3:40 PM and requested entry without a confirmed appointment.”

Ang malinaw na record ay naghihiwalay sa:

NAKITA
vs.
INI-REPORT NG IBA
vs.
HINALA O INTERPRETATION

Do not improvise:

  • covert surveillance;
  • secret recording;
  • interrogation;
  • background investigation;
  • pagkuha ng personal records;
  • public accusation.

Ang safer role ng guard ay:

Observe → Protect → Report → Coordinate → Document

May access or learner-safety relevance ba?
May pattern ba?
Sino ang kailangang ma-notify?
Ano ang dapat ma-record?

Early reporting is useful because it gives the school and proper authorities a chance to assess the concern before ito maging mas seryoso—without profiling, panic, or unsupported accusations.

Napulot na Wallet sa Premises: Tamang Turnover, Inventory at Documentation ng Security Guard

Last updated: August 26, 2026

May napulot na wallet sa lobby.

May cash.

May IDs.

May cards.

Secure → Note the condition → Notify → Inventory only when authorized → Turn over → Record the handoff.

Huwag basta:

  • ilagay sa sariling bulsa;

  • iwan nang walang record;

  • buksan at halughugin nang mag-isa;

  • ipakita ang laman sa ibang tao;

  • i-post ang IDs o cards online;

  • ikaw mismo ang nakakita;

  • employee ang nag-turnover sa iyo;

  • visitor ang nakapulot;

  • ibang guard ang nag-abot;

  • site SOP;

  • lost-and-found policy;

  • agency/client procedure;

  • authorized custodian;

  • supervisor instruction;

  • privacy requirements.

Halimbawa:

“One black bi-fold wallet was turned over. Several cards and Philippine currency were visible upon receipt.”

Huwag magdagdag ng amount kung hindi naman talaga na-count through the authorized process.

Kapag May Inventory, Facts Lang

Kung required at authorized ang inventory, record only what was actually verified.

Halimbawa:

Wallet received: Black bi-fold wallet
Visible/verified contents: Two identification cards, three bank cards, and cash totaling ₱2,350
Inventory conducted by: [authorized person]
Witness: [name/designation]
Date/time: [time]

Iwasan ang vague entries tulad ng:

“Wallet complete.”

Complete compared to what?

“The contents listed above were those verified during the documented inventory.”

Bakit Mahalaga ang Witness at Record?

Isipin ang ganitong situation:

Wallet found → Guard A received it → Guard B took over duty → Admin received it → Owner claimed it.

Kapag walang record, madaling magkaroon ng tanong:

Sino ang huling humawak?

Kailan na-turnover?

Na-inventory ba?

Article 719 of the Civil Code provides that a person who finds movable property should return it to its previous possessor; kung hindi kilala ang previous possessor, may legal process involving turnover to the local government.

The Revised Penal Code also provides that a person who finds lost property and fails to deliver it to the local authorities or its owner may incur criminal liability under the law on theft.

Follow the site's authorized lost-and-found process and promptly coordinate with the responsible supervisor, management, or custodian.

Kung hindi makilala ang owner o hindi ma-claim ang property, the site's internal storage process should not be assumed to replace whatever further turnover or legal procedure may be required. The authorized management or proper authority should handle that next step.

  • picturan at i-post sa Facebook;

  • i-send sa group chat;

  • ipakita ang ID number sa maraming tao;

Personal information should be handled only for a legitimate purpose and through authorized channels.

Kung kailangan hanapin ang owner, use the prescribed contact or management procedure rather than publicly exposing the contents of the wallet.

Depending on the site procedure, maaaring gamitin ang identifying information gaya ng:

  • description ng wallet;

  • approximate location where it was lost;

  • identifying card or name;

  • distinguishing feature;

  • other information that helps establish ownership.

Kung may uncertainty, coordinate with the authorized supervisor or custodian.

Kapag verified at authorized ang release, record:

  • claimant name or identification as required;

  • date and time released;

  • item released;

  • receiving person;

  • releasing person;

  • acknowledgment/signature, kung prescribed;

  • any material discrepancy or claim raised.

Paano Kung Sabihin ng Owner na May Kulang?

Huwag makipagtalo.

Record the complaint objectively and notify the authorized supervisor.

Halimbawa:

“Upon receiving the wallet, Mr. Reyes stated that ₱1,000 was allegedly missing from its contents. The concern was immediately referred to the duty supervisor for appropriate verification.”

Notice the wording:

Sample Lost-and-Found Documentation

Maaaring ganito ang basic narrative:

“At approximately 3:20 PM, Ms. Cruz, an office employee, turned over one black bi-fold wallet which she reported finding near the ground-floor elevator lobby. At approximately 3:25 PM, I notified the duty supervisor. In accordance with site procedure, the wallet was turned over to the designated lost-and-found custodian. The receiving person, date, time, and condition of the item were recorded. At the time of turnover, no ownership determination had yet been made.”

Kung may authorized inventory, ilagay iyon separately and accurately.

4. Pinost ang ID para mahanap ang owner.

May personal-data risk. Use authorized channels instead.

Knowing a name does not automatically prove that the person claiming the item is the rightful possessor.

6. Walang release record.

Ang documentation ay hindi nagtatapos sa pagkakapulot. Mahalaga rin ang final turnover o release.

Tandaan

Kapag may napulot na wallet:

Huwag lang isipin kung saan ito itatago.

Isipin ang buong handling sequence:

Found → Secured → Reported → Verified/Inventoried when authorized → Turned over → Released

At bawat importanteng handoff, dapat malinaw:

Sino → Ano → Kailan → Saan → Kanino

Documentation protects the property, the owner, at ang mga taong humawak nito.

Magkaiba ang Oras sa CCTV, Logbook at Radio: Paano Gumawa ng Malinaw na Incident Timeline ang Security Guard?

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Unahin munang tukuyin:

  • event time — kailan nangyari ang event ayon sa available information;
  • observation time — kailan mo ito personal na nakita o napansin;
  • notification time — kailan ito na-report o natanggap sa radio;
  • documentation time — kailan naisulat ang logbook entry o report;

“During an authorized review of the available CCTV footage, the relevant activity appeared at approximately 10:12 PM based on the displayed CCTV timestamp.”

Kung radio naman ang source:

“At approximately 10:18 PM, I received a radio report regarding the incident.”

Mahalaga ang distinction dahil hindi pareho ang:

personal observation
reported information
at
information obtained from an authorized record.

Ang TSTS Incident Report Toolkit uses the same documentation principle: separate personal observations, reported information, available records, and assumptions.

Event Time Ba o Oras Lang ng Pagkaka-record?

Maaaring:

10:12 PM — event/activity shown on CCTV
10:18 PM — radio notification
10:25 PM — logbook documentation

NPC Circular No. 2024-02 requires organizations covered by the Circular to implement safeguards that help maintain the integrity and accuracy of CCTV footage and its associated metadata, including time, date, and location. The Circular also restricts CCTV storage-area access and live-feed monitoring to authorized personnel.

Official NPC Circular No. 2024-02 — CCTV Systems

Halimbawa ng Mas Malinaw na Timeline

Sabihin nating available ang mga sumusunod:

  • CCTV displayed timestamp — 10:12 PM
  • Radio notification — 10:18 PM
  • Logbook entry — 10:25 PM

Maaaring ganito ang reporting structure:

“During an authorized review of the available CCTV footage, the relevant activity appeared at approximately 10:12 PM based on the displayed CCTV timestamp. At approximately 10:18 PM, the incident was reported through radio communication. At approximately 10:25 PM, the corresponding information was entered in the security logbook.”

“The displayed CCTV timestamp was referred to the authorized personnel for verification in accordance with site procedure.”

Notice the difference.

Paano Kung Hindi Talaga Ma-determine ang Exact Event Time?

Huwag gumawa ng estimate na walang basehan.

The Incident Report Toolkit specifically advises that when the exact time is unknown, use only information that can be verified from personal records, logbook entries, radio logs, or other authorized sources.

Halimbawa:

“The exact time of the incident had not yet been independently confirmed at the time this report was prepared. Available records contained different timestamps, which were documented and referred for verification.”

  • mag-erase;
  • mag-overwrite;
  • mag-backdate;

Follow the prescribed correction or supplemental-report procedure ng inyong agency, client, o site.

Ang TSTS Incident Report Toolkit specifically recommends preserving the original submitted report, clearly identifying corrected or added information, recording the correction when applicable, and using a correction entry, written explanation, or supplemental report when required.

Mas malinaw na documentation trail ang:

Original record → New information or discrepancy discovered → Verification → Authorized correction or supplemental documentation, if required

kaysa:

Tandaan

Kapag magkaiba ang CCTV, radio at logbook:

Huwag agad maghanap ng isang “winning time.”

May taong tumakbo palabas.
May gulo sa labas.
May customer na nagreklamo.
May client na nagsabing, “Guard, habulin mo!”

Dito naiipit ang maraming guard.

Kapag hindi ka humabol, sasabihin ng iba:

“So titingnan mo lang?”

Kaya kailangang malinaw:

Hindi automatic hahabol.
Pero hindi rin automatic walang gagawin.

Ang mas safe na mindset ay ito:

Secure post. Observe. Coordinate with proper authority when needed. Assist if safe and necessary. Document.

Mas safe ang first move: secure the post, observe the description and direction, report immediately, coordinate with supervisor/control, alert backup or nearest post, call proper authority if needed, assist only if safe and necessary, then document everything.

Mas safe ang observe, secure post, call supervisor, coordinate with backup, PNP or barangay if needed, and document.

Legal / Authority Clarification: AOR, Pursuit, at Citizen’s Arrest

  • assigned AOR

  • post orders

  • site SOP

  • deployment instructions

  • criticality ng post

  • actual incident o threat

  • available backup

  • supervisor o control-room coordination

  • applicable law

  • documentation

AOR at Pursuit: Magkaibang Tanong

  • physical confrontation

  • safety risk

  • apprehension o restraint issue

  • pagkawala ng access control

  • documentation at accountability concern

Kaya hindi sapat na itanong:

“Lumabas ba siya ng building?”

Mas mahalagang tanungin:

  • Sakop pa ba siya ng assigned AOR?

  • Critical ba ang post na maiiwan?

  • May actual offense o immediate threat ba?

  • May backup at communication ba?

Hinala, Violation, at Caught-in-the-Act Situation.

  1. Sa kanyang presensya, ang tao ay nakagawa, kasalukuyang gumagawa, o nagtatangkang gumawa ng offense;

  • secure the critical post

  • observe the description at direction

  • report immediately

  • alert the nearest post o roving guard

  • request authorized CCTV review

  • coordinate with supervisor or control

  • contact the proper authority when warranted

  • document the facts and instructions received

  • offense o incident

  • personal observation o knowledge

  • reason for intervention

  • available backup

  • witness at CCTV

  • level of force or restraint used

  • supervisor notification

  • law-enforcement coordination

  • immediate turnover

  • complete incident report

  • emergency assistance

  • rescue o first aid

  • protection ng nearby persons

  • pursuit

  • physical apprehension

  • citizen’s arrest

Sa emergency:

  1. I-alert agad ang control, supervisor, at emergency responders.

  2. Humingi ng backup.

  3. Protektahan ang ibang taong maaaring maapektuhan.

  4. Tumulong lamang ayon sa training, capability, SOP, at actual safety conditions.

Common Misunderstanding: “So Titingnan Mo Lang?”

“So wala nang gagawin?”

  • mag-coordinate sa roving guard or backup

Actual scenario: may taong tumakbo palabas

Ganito ang sitwasyon:

Nasa entrance ka ng building.

May isang tao na biglang tumakbo palabas.

May tenant na nagsabi:

“Guard, habulin mo! Siya ’yon!”

May ibang tao sa lobby. May entrance na kailangan bantayan. May logbook. May access point. May CCTV.

Ikaw ang guard sa post.

Dito nagsisimula ang pressure.

May tatlong possible reaction:

Reaction A: Habol agad

  • wala kang witness or documentation
  • wala kang backup
  • public road na ang hinahabol mo
  • hindi malinaw ang legal basis ng pag-hold

Dito puwedeng bumalik sa guard ang problema.

Reaction B: Wala kang ginawa

“Bakit walang description?”
“Bakit hindi mo tinawag ang supervisor?”
“Bakit walang incident report?”

Reaction C: Secure, observe, coordinate

Ito ang mas professional.

Hindi ka basta humabol.
Hindi ka rin walang ginawa.

Gumawa ka ng controlled action:

  1. I-secure mo muna ang post.
  2. Kunin mo ang description at direction.
  3. Mag-radio ka agad sa supervisor/control.

May nagsasabi:

  • authorized deployment or assignment documents
  • post orders
  • site SOP
  • client-approved instructions
  • agency instructions
  • perimeter coverage
  • assignment details
  • type of establishment
  • risk level ng area

Halimbawa:

1. Nasa AOR mo pa ba ang situation?

Ito ang unang tanong.

Hindi lahat ng nakikita mo ay automatic responsibility mo in the same way.

Tanungin:

Kasama ba ang driveway, gate, parking, or perimeter?

Tanungin:

May kapalit ba ako?
May backup ba?
May ibang access point ba na maiiwan?
May valuables, visitors, or employees na maaapektuhan?

3. May immediate threat ba?

assist if safe and necessary, call backup, call proper authority, and document.

4. May backup or communication ba?

Professional action requires communication.

Tanungin:

  • May radio ba ako?
  • May roving guard ba?
  • May OIC or supervisor ba?
  • May CCTV control ba?
  • May barangay or PNP contact ba?

Kung may coordination channel, gamitin muna.

5. May Malinaw Bang Actual Incident o Verified Report?

Hindi pareho ang:

  • may nakita kang actual offense o security incident; at

  • may immediate threat ba
  • may backup at proper authority coordination ba

6. Kaya mo bang i-document ang action mo?

Kung tinanong ka later:

  • Bakit mo iniwan ang post?
  • Sino ang nag-instruct?
  • Ano ang nakita mo mismo?
  • Saan pumunta ang tao?
  • Sino ang tinawag mo?
  • May CCTV ba?
  • May report ba?

Kaya mo bang sagutin?

Kung hindi, huwag magpadala sa pressure.

First 5 Seconds Action

Kapag may taong lumabas o tumakbo palabas, ito ang practical first response.

First second: Secure post

Kung may access point, gate, lobby, cash area, control room, or sensitive area, kailangan mo itong i-secure.

Second second: Observe details

Kunin agad ang details:

  • kasarian
  • suot
  • direction
  • dala
  • oras
  • saan galing
  • sino ang nag-report
  • may kasama ba
  • vehicle or plate number kung meron

Observation is action.

Third second: Radio / call supervisor

Example:

“Control, for information. Male person ran toward the main gate, wearing a black shirt, blue pants, and carrying a backpack. Direction: public-road side. Please coordinate for authorized CCTV review and advise. Maintaining post.”

Fourth second: Coordinate backup

Kung may roving guard, OIC, supervisor, or nearby post, i-coordinate.

Example:

“Roving, please check main gate direction. I will maintain lobby post.”

Fifth second: Document

Isulat agad:

  • time
  • location
  • person description
  • direction
  • report received
  • action taken
  • person notified
  • CCTV reference
  • instruction from supervisor
  • final action

Practical Words / Script

Kapag may nagsabi:

“Guard, habulin mo!”

Pwede mong sabihin:

Kapag may emergency:

“Control, possible emergency outside the gate. Need backup and supervisor assistance. Maintaining post while coordinating response.”

Kapag may proper authority needed:

“Control, please coordinate with the PNP or appropriate emergency responders based on the nature of the incident. Barangay assistance may also be requested when applicable. The person exited toward the public-road side. Description and direction have been recorded.”

Kapag gagawa ng report:

“At around 8:35 AM, a male person wearing a black shirt and blue pants was observed running toward the main gate and exiting toward the public road. The undersigned maintained the assigned post, reported the matter to Control via radio, requested authorized CCTV review through Control, and coordinated with the roving guard and supervisor. No solo pursuit was conducted due to post responsibility and safety considerations.”

Do / Don’t List

Pwede mong gawin

  • secure your post
  • observe direction and description
  • radio supervisor/control
  • call backup or roving guard
  • coordinate through Control for authorized CCTV review and, when required, preservation of relevant footage
  • coordinate through Control with the PNP, emergency responders, barangay, o ibang proper authority depende sa nature at urgency ng incident
  • assist if safe, necessary, and within SOP
  • document the incident
  • make an incident report
  • follow post order and client-approved SOP

Iwasan mong gawin

  • makipag-away or physical confrontation without clear basis

  1. Assess quickly.
  2. Call backup immediately.
  3. Notify supervisor/control.
  4. Assist if safe and necessary.
  5. Avoid reckless solo action.
  6. Coordinate with proper authority.
  7. Document after.

Hindi ito “ignore the emergency.”

Ito ay:

Help, but don’t create a second emergency.

Documentation Reminder

Ilagay:

  • date and time
  • assigned post
  • AOR coverage if relevant
  • what was observed
  • who reported the concern
  • description of person
  • direction of movement
  • whether post was maintained or relieved
  • supervisor/control notified
  • backup/roving/PNP/barangay coordination
  • CCTV reference
  • final action taken
  • reason if no solo pursuit was made

This matters because later, the question may not be:

“Bakit hindi ka humabol?”

The question may be:

“Bakit mo iniwan ang post?”

or:

or:

“May record ba?”

Protection Close

Hindi automatic hahabol.

Pero hindi rin automatic walang gagawin.

Ang professional guard ay hindi passive.
Hindi rin siya padalos-dalos.
Marunong siyang magtanong:

  • Sakop pa ba ng AOR?
  • Critical ba ang post?
  • May immediate threat ba?
  • May backup ba?

  • Secure post.
  • Observe.
  • Coordinate.
  • Call proper authority if needed.
  • Assist if safe and necessary.
  • Document.

Iyan ang tamang sequence.

Key Takeaways

  • Observation, radio communication, backup coordination, authorized CCTV review through Control, at documentation ay valid professional actions.
  • Emergency situations require quick assessment, backup, proper coordination, and safety-first response.
  • Documentation protects the guard when questions arise later.
  • The goal is not to look brave. The goal is to act correctly, safely, and defensibly.

FAQ

2. Bawal bang humabol ang guard?

Hindi automatic na bawal. Pero hindi rin automatic na tama. Depende ito sa AOR, SOP, threat level, backup, post responsibility, and safety.

3. Paano kung emergency?

Kung may immediate threat to life or safety, assess quickly, call backup, notify control or supervisor, assist if safe and necessary, coordinate with proper authority, and document.

Then follow the approved procedure for that AOR.

6. Ano ang dapat i-document?

Time, location, assigned post, AOR issue, observed facts, description, direction, who reported, supervisor/control notified, backup coordination, CCTV reference, action taken, and reason if no solo pursuit was done.

Hahabol ba?
