Former Employee o Student Bumalik sa Campus: Ano ang Dapat I-verify Bago Bigyan ng Access?

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Nasa gate ka.

May lumapit na dating teacher, employee, o student.

Kilala mo siya.

Dati araw-araw siyang pumapasok sa campus.

Sabi niya:

Identify → Clarify Purpose → Verify Current Authorization → Confirm Destination/Host → Apply Visitor or Escort Procedure → Record When Required

“Dating Dito Siya Nagtatrabaho” ≠ Current Access

Madaling magkaroon ng shortcut sa isip:

“Dating teacher naman.”

“Graduate naman dito.”

“Dating admin staff.”

“Kilala ng principal.”

Useful information ang mga iyon—but they answer who the person was, not necessarily what access the person has now.

Professional security practice separates identity from current authorization. Personnel-security and access-control concepts specifically recognize changes in clearance, role, employment status, access need, at offboarding as situations where authorization must be reassessed rather than assumed.

Verify with the authorized school contact when required.

4. Saan Siya Pupunta?

Halimbawa:

Approved siyang pumunta sa:

  • registrar;
  • administration office;
  • reception;
  • alumni event area; o
  • designated meeting area.

  • faculty room;
  • classrooms;
  • records room;
  • staff-only offices;
  • restricted facilities; o
  • ibang controlled area.

Campus entry at restricted-area authorization are separate decisions.

Paano Kung May Luma Pa Siyang ID, Key, Pass, o Access Card?

Puwedeng:

  • expired na ang ID;
  • hindi pa na-recover ang dating access card;
  • may lumang key;
  • dati siyang authorized sa isang area;
  • nakatago pa sa kanya ang old visitor or employee pass; o

Kaya huwag mag-assume:

“Gumagana ang card, so authorized.”

Paano Kung Private School?

Public schools, private schools, universities, special events, after-hours visits, alumni activities, contractors, at ibang circumstances may have different applicable rules and approved procedures.

Ang current DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 applies broadly to public and private elementary and secondary schools and consolidates guidelines aimed at maintaining a safe learning environment, including common security protocols and incident-response measures.

Paano Kung “Saglit Lang”?

Ito ang common pressure line:

“Sir, five minutes lang.”

Pero five minutes is not an authorization category.

Calm.

Respectful.

Hindi accusatory.

Paano Kung Kilala Siya ng Guard Pero Hindi Ma-contact ang Host?

Dito hindi dapat hulaan.

Kung walang ibang approved fallback procedure:

hold or delay the access ayon sa site procedure, then coordinate with the OIC, school administrator, or authorized contact.

Huwag gumawa ng sariling exception dahil lamang:

  • nakakahiya;
  • matagal nang magkakilala;
  • dating mataas ang position;
  • teacher dati;
  • alumnus;
  • staff friend; o
  • kilala ng ibang guards.

Hindi ito personal distrust.

Consistency ito sa access control.

Escort Ba o Malayang Pumasok?

Depende sa school procedure at purpose.

May visit na maaaring:

Reception → Authorized Office → Exit

apply it consistently.

  • date and time;
  • visitor identity according to required verification;
  • purpose;
  • office/person being visited;
  • person who confirmed authorization;
  • time of confirmation;
  • visitor pass number, kung applicable;
  • escort or area restriction, kung applicable;
  • time in/time out; at
  • unusual issue or instruction, kung mayroon.

Kung access was delayed or refused because authorization could not be confirmed, record the factual reason.

Mas useful:

“Former employee requested access to Administration Office. No current appointment could be confirmed. OIC notified; visitor advised to coordinate with Administration before entry.”

Kaysa:

“Dating employee—suspicious.”

  • alamin ang employment dispute;
  • tanungin ang personal history;
  • mag-background check;
  • mag-interrogate;
  • mag-accuse; o
  • gumawa ng sariling watchlist.

Ang role ay mas simple:

Current access status + legitimate purpose + authorized confirmation + applicable procedure.

Kung may separate concern tungkol sa tao, i-coordinate iyon sa proper school authority rather than turning the gate into an investigation.

Tandaan

Ang pinakamalaking trap dito ay familiarity.

Kilala ≠ currently authorized.

At the same time:

Former employee/student ≠ automatic threat.

Ang professional approach ay nasa gitna:

Respect the person.
Verify the purpose.
Confirm the current authority.
Control the destination.
Follow the school procedure.
Document when required.

Educational and Operational Note

This article is a general educational security reference.

Actual handling depends on:

  • school type;
  • current visitor policy;
  • school-issued access rules;
  • post orders;
  • agency/client instructions;
  • Area of Responsibility;
  • time and purpose of the visit;
  • current authorization;
  • restricted-area controls; and
  • instructions of authorized school personnel.

Former status does not automatically grant current access—and it does not automatically make someone suspicious. Verify first.
